Partnerships

To help break down barriers to receiving counseling services, Opportunity for Hope has partnered with local school districts, county programs and other community partners to meet people where they are at.

To become a partner >

  • We know how hard it is to get kids to appointments. Parents have to take off work and kids miss valuable class time. To make it easier for our community youth to access care, Opportunity for Hope has partnered with the following school districts to provide School-Based Mental Health Counseling:

    • Stevens Point School District

    • Pittsville School District

    • Nekoosa School District

  • Consumers involved in Portage or Wood County CCS services can receive counseling services as part of their recovery plans. Community-based counseling allows these individuals to receive our services in their home or community.

  • Consumers that are enrolled with this long-term care provider can receive counseling services as part of their care plan.

  • Through a partnership with the Family Center and Opportunity for Hope, individuals who seek help through the Family Center can receive safe, confidential therapy services.

    llloyd@odcinc.com | 715-818-6488

I graduated from Lakeland University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. My goal is to establish a safe environment that allows the client to explore themselves while learning skills that will promote independence and enhance their ability to cope with life stressors. My approach to therapy is eclectic, primarily including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while incorporating aspects from art, play, and music therapy. I have experience providing both individual and group therapy for children (4+), adolescents, and adults. I have a special interest in ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression.

    MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

    jportillo@odcinc.com | 715-818-6465

I graduated from UW-Stout with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Alcohol and Drug Use and Eating Disorders. I strongly believe that mental and emotional health are tied to our physical and social health and all dimensions of wellness should be examined. I enjoy working with many populations, but in particular, teens and men who struggle with anger and emotional intimacy. My role as a husband, soldier, and certified trainer has challenged me to adapt my perspective and ensure I help aid individuals in bettering their lives on purpose and with purpose.

  • Yer Yang (MS, LPC-IT)

    MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

    yyang@odcinc.com | 715-818-6450

My refugee family background has allowed me to see various intersectional impacts on an individual’s mental health which helped me develop a passion to help, give back, improve advocacy and accessibility for evidence-based mental health resources for marginalized individuals and communities. I graduated with my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from the UW-Stout, where I had the privilege to reflect on my own mental health and observed the lack of knowledge about mental health with marginalized individuals and communities. I have ten years of working in various mental health-related jobs such as providing behavioral therapy to children with Autism, working with at-risk adolescent in group homes and afterschool programs, providing services to adults with disabilities to become independence in their homes, and working with domestic violence and sexual assault victims. This inspired me to pursue and graduate with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. My goal is to provide a safe psychoeducational space for multiculturalism and marginalized individuals and communities. I want to help my clients find their autonomy and strength by working through their own challenges and build positive coping skills. I have experience working with many populations with special interest in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma.

I have experience working with adults and adolescents. My professional interests include adult ADHD, emotional regulation skills development, Schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and depression.
