Why we need your support.
ODC relies on community support to provide a variety of employment and community services for people with disabilities. Government funding for our services does not and will never fully cover the costs of offering quality services.
How we do what we do
ODC’s support services are supported by three pillars:
-
Supports are designed around each individual’s interests and needs and focus on helping individuals establish meaningful connections in the community. ODC works with a variety of funding partners to support individuals with disabilities.
Funding partners include:
Family Care Managed Care Organizations, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Counties, and other agencies including United Way of Portage County & United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties
-
ODC operates social enterprises, Businesses with Purpose, in Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield. Social Enterprises serve two major purposes: to provide work and training for people with disabilities, and to provide vital operating revenue.
-
ODC relies on donations to create, subsidize and enhance ODC’s services. ODC’s fund development program generates donations through annual appeals, distributions from endowed funds, grants, fund raising events and planned giving efforts. In 2019, ODC established the ODC Foundation, to manage permanently restricted assets.
