Julie Strenn Appointed to IRIS Advisory Committee
Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, June 14, 2024 – Julie Strenn, President & CEO of Opportunity Development Centers, Inc. (ODC), has been selected to join The IRIS Advisory Committee. IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) is a self-directed state program that supports adults with disabilities and the elderly to have the freedom to make their own life decisions. The IRIS Advisory Committee (IAC) is a group established to provide recommendations to Department of Health Services (DHS) on programmatic issues related to administration of the IRIS program. Committee members are individuals who have relevant knowledge, experience, expertise, and community relationships that allow them to present ideas, opinions, or facts for the betterment of the IRIS program. Julie has more than 25 years of experience in long-term care, having worked for provider agencies, managed care organizations, and state and local government agencies including Wisconsin Department of Health Services. She has provided consultative services to service providers, funders, and multiple state governments in transforming the long-term care system to focus on community employment and community living for people with disabilities.
“I am honored to be selected to represent providers in Wisconsin on the IRIS Long-Term Care Advisory Board. I will have the opportunity to share insight on policy and practices in Wisconsin to strengthen the self-directed IRIS waiver,” said Julie Strenn.
